Staja MTV ogłosiła nominacje do tegorocznych nagród Video Music. Najwięcej otrzymał Kendrick Lamar. Ciekawe jest jednak, że po raz pierwszy nie podzielono kategorii na żeńską i męską.

Lamar ma szansę na 8 statuetek, w tym za teledysk roku ("HUMBLE."), najlepszą reżyserię czy jako artysta roku. W tej kategorii będzie rywalizował zarówno z kolegami, jak i koleżankami po fachu, jak Ed Sheeran czy Ariana Grande.
